The new Terminal 3 at the Kotoka International Airport has caught the attention of many<\/p>\n

travelers who have used it since its opening.<\/p>\n

The terminal seems to particularly warm the hearts of Nigerian entertainment personalities.<\/p>\n

Few weeks ago,\u00a0 Nigerian gospel act, Ebenezer Benjamin, who is famous for \u2018Victory\u2019 hit song,<\/p>\n

who was amazed by the facility.<\/p>\n

In a video, he described the terminal as amazing and urged the Nigerian government to take a cue from Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cLadies and gentlemen believe me or not, this is Ghana airport. State-of-the-art airport. This is amazing. It\u2019s a shame [for Nigeria]\u2026 Nigeria is this fair? Look at Ghana airport. Shame on the looters,\u201d the gospel musician added and urged Nigerians to \u201cvote spiritually and physically,\u201d<\/em> Ebenezer, who performed at this year\u2019s Adom Praiz concert, said in the video.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The latest to hail the airport is the multiple awards-winning Nigerian actor Kanayo O Kanayo.<\/p>\n

The movie star has hailed Ghana for a job well done at the airport.<\/p>\n

Kanayo took to his official Instagram page wand shared photos he took at the airport whiles<\/p>\n

in Ghana with his followers.<\/p>\n

He further described the airport as world class.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello friends, good morning. This is NOT Europe, It is Kotoka International Airport, Accra, World Class in Africa. Kudos Ghana,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

BACKGROUND<\/h3>\n

The Terminal 3 of the Kotoka International Airport became fully operational on September 15,<\/p>\n

2018, following the completion of tests and simulation exercises.<\/p>\n

The opening of the ultra-modern terminal saw hundreds of passengers in both arrival and<\/p>\n

departures departments of the terminal go through what many say is a rather smooth and stress-free procedure.<\/p>\n

The $250 million T3 project is expected to be officially commissioned by President Akufo-Addo on October 2, 2018.<\/p>\n

The new terminal comprises of five levels spread across an area of 48,268m\u00b2 and semi-closed<\/p>\n

areas for the Baggage Make-up Areas of 28,260m\u00b2, Ultra-Modern facilities and capacity to<\/p>\n

handle 5 million passengers a year; capacity to process 1,250 passengers per hour; six boarding<\/p>\n

bridges; 7 links (expandable to 8 in the future); Large retail area (7000m\u00b2), CIP terminal and<\/p>\n

707 Car parking slots and a new Road network.<\/p>\n
