Veteran gospel musician, Diana Hopeson cautions against the increasing number of love songs.<\/p>\n

According to her, she has no issues with producing love songs. However, she believes there should be some checks and balances because of the content of the songs.<\/p>\n

She made these statements to Andy Dosty in an interview on Daybreak Hitz.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe love they are talking about, you can tell that there is some promiscuity around it.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Moreover, she explained that every artiste on their album has other songs; however, \u201cI noticed that most of them will like to promote love songs.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

She stated that as a country with a youthful population, some of these love songs rather end up promoting promiscuity.<\/p>\n

However, she clarified that she has nothing against love songs. This is because \u201clove songs are needed in every marriage, relationship\u201d. But the way musicians are doing it now calls for some attention.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, she wants those songs aired within specific times of the day to limit their reach to the younger generation.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou see that the child is ignorant about it but that is what he or she is hearing\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n

Also, she urged DJs to stop playing certain songs at certain times and choose songs that suit their shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not saying don\u2019t make love songs.\u201d <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

she advised musicians to look at the very need of the country at the moment and produce songs that will uplift the citizens.<\/p>\n
