It seems every artiste has his\/her own perceptions about controversies in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

Whiles some would do all they can to avoid them, others seem to see it as a backbone to success of their brands.<\/p>\n

Lynx Entertainment signee, MzVee seems to agree with the latter.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz on the role controversies play in the lives of celebs, MzVee noted that she is not the controversial type.<\/p>\n

She however added that controversies sometimes help with brand positioning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not fond of controversies but what I can say is that, they help push one’s brand up, they put you out there, people look out for you etc.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cSee for example, if I suffer a wardrobe mal-function right now, the media will carry it everywhere and people would want to know more about me. They would want to know who I am, what I do etc.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI am not a controversial person but because it is part of the game, I cannot avoid it but in all that, I try to handle it well”<\/em>, she said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The award winning musician is currently out with a new single, ‘Bend Down’.<\/p>\n

Throwing more light on the song, she stated that the attention the song is getting is so far massive, adding that the feedback has been amazing.<\/p>\n

\u201cBend Down is dance music and everyone knows I love to dance a lot. I heard the beat and I just knew I had to jump on it. The reception has been so good”\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0MzVee said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Background<\/h3>\n

MzVee, born Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda hit the limelight in 2012 as part of girl band, D3,<\/p>\n

managed by Lynx Entertainment, which later split up.<\/p>\n

She began her solo career shortly afterwards under Lynx and she has released a number of hit<\/p>\n

songs like Bokor Bokor, Sing My Name, Rewind, Daavi, Come And See My Moda, I Don\u2019t Know among others.<\/p>\n

MzVee, who has been in the industry for seven years says she has grown as a person in the<\/p>\n

industry and music has given her another perspective about life and how she associates with people.<\/p>\n
