MTN Hitmaker Season 7 winner OV, has revealed that she came into the competition knowing nothing about music.<\/p>\n

According to her, the competition was a perfect platform for any underground artist because<\/p>\n

it exposes one to different things.<\/p>\n

“It’s a very big platform… I didn’t want to come for hitmaker but when I came, I saw that I did not know anything… so I had to learn.”<\/em> she said in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

OV, who is also known as Okailey Verse, also acknowledged the fact that, the competition<\/p>\n

was tight and that every contestant was a challenge to her.<\/p>\n

“In my first performance, I lost my voice and it was terrible. I thought I was going home the next week… I saw everybody as competition,<\/em>“she said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The new \u201cruler of the mic\u201d said she hoped to feature dancehall artiste, Stonebowy on her upcoming song.<\/p>\n

OV became the second female to win MTN Hitmaker competition after Freda Rhymes.<\/p>\n
