{"id":57738,"date":"2018-12-14T09:00:48","date_gmt":"2018-12-14T09:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/gh\/?p=57738"},"modified":"2018-12-13T19:06:49","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T19:06:49","slug":"2018-africa-youth-awards-nominees-announcedsee-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/2018-africa-youth-awards-nominees-announcedsee-list\/","title":{"rendered":"2018 Africa Youth Awards Nominees Announced(See List)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nominees for the 5th edition of Africa Youth Awards, the continent\u2019s most coveted<\/p>\n<p>award for young people has been announced.<\/p>\n<p>The nominees which features 60 young people across 5 categories were selected from 23<\/p>\n<p>African countries for their outstanding works in diverse fields.<\/p>\n<p>Out of the 23 countries nominated, Kenya leads with 7 nominees whiles Ghana, Nigeria,<\/p>\n<p>South Africa also follow with 6 nominees each.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about this year\u2019s edition, Prince Akpah, President &amp; co-founder of Africa Youth<\/p>\n<p>Awards, noted that in commemoration of the 5 years anniversary of the awards, co-founders<\/p>\n<p>of the award decided to only release 5 categories to be contested for across the continent.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking about the next phase of the awards, Prince Akpah noted that, the awards<\/p>\n<p>from next year would be modelled to promote the African Union\u2019s Agenda 2063 as it takes<\/p>\n<p>turn to award young individuals working on promoting the African Union\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Africa Youth Awards has over the years recognized the works of young Africans and continues<\/p>\n<p>to expose their works to the world.
