{"id":58654,"date":"2019-01-10T08:45:23","date_gmt":"2019-01-10T08:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/gh\/?p=58654"},"modified":"2019-01-09T20:11:11","modified_gmt":"2019-01-09T20:11:11","slug":"i-wont-go-near-events-like-the-ghana-movie-awards-ken-fiati","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/i-wont-go-near-events-like-the-ghana-movie-awards-ken-fiati\/","title":{"rendered":"I Won\u2019t Go Near Events Like The Ghana Movie Awards \u2013 Ken Fiati"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Head of Technical Committee of the Ghana\u2019s Actors Guild, Ken Fiati has said he won\u2019t go<\/p>\n<p>near events like the Ghana Movie Awards that has it\u2019s red carpet longer than the event itself.<\/p>\n<p>Ken, was sharing his views on Zylofon FM\u2019s Showbiz Agenda on Wednesday on how the<\/p>\n<p>movie industry fared in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>With emphasis on the 2018 Ghana Movie Awards which was poorly organized according to the<\/p>\n<p>host of the show and the other panelists, answered he was okay especially when he opted not<\/p>\n<p>go near some events.<\/p>\n<p>Ken further said he really respects Fred Nuamah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana<\/p>\n<p>Movie Awards but he wasn\u2019t going to be at an event that wasn\u2019t well organized.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ken, he wasn\u2019t asked to contribute as compared to that of Zylofon Ghana Film Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Ken Fiati later added that, Fred keeps getting this bashing for getting things wrong because<\/p>\n<p>he\u2019s being working on this Ghana Movie Awards for about eight years but not ready to listen to advice from other people.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Kalybos, one of the MC for the Ghana Movie Awards (GMA), 2018, also confirmed<\/p>\n<p>on the show that Fred really doesn\u2019t listen to advice and that\u2019s what caused the floppy nature of<\/p>\n<p>the event. He also revealed that DSTV was supposed to telecast the show live but due to delay<\/p>\n<p>in proceedings they couldn\u2019t show the event.<\/p>\n<p>READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/i-will-leave-burnington-music-group-kelvyn-boy\/\">https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/i-will-leave-burnington-music-group-kelvyn-boy\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sammy Flex, the host of the show \u2013 Showbiz Agenda, also revealed to consolidate the fact<\/p>\n<p>that Fred is not willing to listen to advice, said when Zylofon Media couldn\u2019t organize the 2017<\/p>\n<p>edition and was also not in the position to organize that of the 2018, Fred Nuamah against<\/p>\n<p>the advice of Zylofon Media went ahead to organize it.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Movie Awards (GMA) 2018 edition, MC\u2019ed by Kalybos and James Gardiner, took<\/p>\n<p>place on Sunday, December 30 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.<\/p>\n<p>Its first edition was held on December 25, 2010, at the Accra International Conference Centre<\/p>\n<p>(AICC) and subsequently, the date was changed due to conflict with other events in December<\/p>\n<p>after the event was put on hold after the 2016 event when Zylofon Media took over in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The 2018 Ghana Movie Award Winners and Category list are yet to be published after the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Head of Technical Committee of the Ghana\u2019s Actors Guild, Ken Fiati has said he won\u2019t go near events like the Ghana Movie Awards that has it\u2019s red carpet longer than the event itself.
