has urged Ghanaians to get in involved in the celebration of the Year of Return scheduled for<\/p>\n
this year.<\/p>\n
In a post on LinkedIn, The prolific noted that \u2018Year of Return\u2019 meant to commemorate<\/p>\n
400 years of\u00a0 slavery, needs to be given the necessary support.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThis is a beautiful thing happening. Again, Ghana has showed leadership and is doing the right thing. Giving opportunities for our brothers and sisters wrongfully taken to have the opportunity to claim back their birthright as a choice,\u201d<\/em> she wrote.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n
She also admonished Ghanaians to be well-prepared in welcoming guest who come into the<\/p>\n
country during the period.<\/p>\n
\u201cGhanaians should be brought along though\u2026 when you invite someone home, they should have a warm welcome.<\/em><\/p>\n
For this to happen, the people in the house should know the guest is coming, they should accept that the guest is coming\u2026 they should prepare for the guest\u2026 and then the guest will want to stay\u2026 anaa?<\/em>
\n\u2026 this is too important an event, and it must be done right,\u201d<\/em> she added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\nIn her final remarks, Juliet Asante said she was expecting the right education to be done for the general public as regards the celebration.<\/p>\n

The President Nana Akufo-Addo has declared 2019 \u2018The Year of Return.\u2019<\/p>\n
This marks 400 years since the shipping of some Black Africans and Ghanaians for that matter as slaves took place.<\/p>\n
In keeping with this, there shall be a series of programmes that seek to encourage people<\/p>\n
of African ancestry to come back home.<\/p>\n
The Ghana Tourism Authority, under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, is coordinating<\/p>\n
the year-long calendar of activities in \u201ccelebration of the resilience of the African spirit\u201d.<\/p>\n
This however is in partnership with the Office of Diaspora Affairs in the Office of the<\/p>\n
