Ghana\u2019s rap doctor, Okyeame Kwame talks about his journey. He chronicled some of the challenges he faced in the early parts of his career.<\/p>\n
Kwame made these statements in an interview with Kumasi based Agyenkwa FM\u2019s, B Ice. Moreover, he revealed that at some point in time he called the likes of Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, Amakye Dede, Amandziba, Rex Omar and a few other top stars. He did this in order to get a feature on their songs.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, according to OK, he did 219 features between the years 2003 \u2013 2008. This was in order to maintain a name and still remain relevant in the music industry. However, he quickly added that the music industry in Ghana seen a lot of changes. Therefore, the competition is quite fierce than the times past.<\/p>\n
OK stated that in the past when they started music in the late 1990s, all you needed was a manager and a producer, in present time, you need to have a much bigger team if you have plans to survive in the industry.
