Fante rapper Pappy Kojo has said he has been battling depression for sometime now and he has come out a victor.<\/p>\n

The rapper who has been off the music scene for a while now.<\/p>\n

But according to him, his absence had been due to the fact that he had to battle depression.<\/p>\n

He made this revelation in a chat with Berla Mundi on the Starr Drive Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m happy, I\u2019m good now. I didn\u2019t know how else I was gonna learn and grow. Right now it\u2019s like I know what I\u2019m doing. I\u2019m aware of what I\u2019m doing,\u201d <\/em>he said.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The ‘Ay3 Late’ rapper\u00a0\u00a0however added that his depression had nothing to do with awards.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat year was just full of darkness. One, the awards thing, two, me and Joey [Joey B] weren\u2019t cool that year. There were things that happened to me for the first time.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like I just wasn\u2019t ready, I just didn\u2019t know how it worked. I just came to Ghana and the only thing I knew was Joey. I didn\u2019t know anyone before this music thing,\u201d <\/em>he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The \u2018fante vandam\u2019 said that seeing a therapist for about 3 months helped to an extent, but<\/p>\n

did not work for him, so he had to devise another means to overcome the state he was in.<\/p>\n

He detailed \u201cI had to work on myself. I stopped recording, I wasn\u2019t doing anything at all. I felt like I didn\u2019t want to do music anymore. Guilty [Guilty Beats] kept me going.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Clearing the air on his feud with long-time friend and fellow musician Joey B, he said;<\/p>\n

\u201cJoey is like my brother, and brothers do fight. But that year happened to be our first major fight. Me and joey fight every time. Now I know what Joey likes and doesn\u2019t and vice versa.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pappy Kojo is currently promoting his new single \u2018balance\u2019 which features Joey B,<\/p>\n
