Hiplife artiste Kontihene says he regrets focusing solely on creating a brand for fellow musician Kwabena Kwabena.<\/p>\n

Kontihene, in an interview on Hitz Daybreak on Hitz FM said he had to put his career on hold<\/p>\n

and concentrate on helping Kwabena Kwabena on his debut album \u201cAso\u201d with the hope that the<\/p>\n

success will help create a bigger brand for them both.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to create an empire with strong talents sprouting from it but it turned out to be the opposite,\u201d<\/em> he told Andy Dosy host of Hitz Daybreak.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kontihene added that even though other colleagues of his have helped others, he did not get<\/p>\n

anything from producing the \u201cAso\u201d album.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it was stupid for me to put my career on hold,\u201d<\/em> he stated.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He also added that it became depressing for him at some point.\u201cI could have used the energy to do something else.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Kwabena Kwabena and Kontihene over the years have had some disagreements between them.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Kwabena Kwabena in an interview on 3Music said claims by Kontihene that he invested in him are lies.<\/p>\n

“Even talking about the said project he invested in, he collaborated with me on two songs which are \u201cAso\u201d and \u201cTrodo,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kwabena Kwabena explained he recorded seven of the tracks on his nine-track album himself.<\/p>\n

However, Kontihene told Andy he invested money in the \u201cAso\u201d album but was disappointed when it yielded no result. \u201cI had to start [my career] all over again after that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The Royal Family Entertainment signee said at the moment he writes songs for other artistes, but, he does not plan on repeating his mistake.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven the Bible says love your neighbour as yourself and so I would not advise anyone to focus on building somebody\u2019s brand while putting theirs on hold,\u201d <\/em>Kontihene added.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
