Afro-pop musician\u00a0Francesca Duncan Williams, known by the stage name Sista Afia has conter reacted to an assertion made by Highlife legend\u00a0Akosua Agypong concerning artistes choice of costumes.<\/p>\n

Akosua Agyapong in an interview last week stated that she blames artistes managers for allowing their female artistes to wear skimpy dresses.<\/p>\n

But according to Sista Afia, this is a different era with a different vibe so there is nothing wrong<\/p>\n

with female acts wearing seductive dresses.<\/p>\n

Sista Afia explained, for her, her manager leans towards the less exposing dresses.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI can wear something to perform but he\u2019ll let the stylist put more covering to it.\u201d<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She told Dr. Pounds on Hitz FM she sometimes does not listen to her manager even though she can do without seductive outfits \u201cbut then I\u2019m a performer, its all part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

“So we shouldn\u2019t wear seductive dresses,<\/em>” she quizzed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However, Akosua Agyapong explained the seductive outfits of ladies put them in a negative way.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe funny thing is those dresses do not make the popularity last,<\/em> she said.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She told Mercury Quaye on Success Story on Hitz FM that she made a promise to dress well and<\/p>\n

respect herself, \u201cbecause if you don\u2019t respect yourself, no one will respect you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Akosua Agyapong further added that the consequences may come in the future when they want to correct the ways of their children.<\/p>\n

The singer also explained some parents have complained to her that they are having challenges<\/p>\n

with their children because whatever they tell the kids, they refer them to the things they did in the past.<\/p>\n

However, Sista Afia maintains: \u201cWe are not in those ages no more, this is like a different era, a different breeze. If we want to catch up [to the changing trends of the society] there are so many things we have a lot to do.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sista Afia stated, her mother sometimes does not like some of the dresses she wears, \u201cbut she knows I\u2019m a performer and advises me to dress sexy if I want to but with less skin exposure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
