{"id":60515,"date":"2019-02-19T08:30:14","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T08:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/gh\/?p=60515"},"modified":"2019-02-18T18:41:34","modified_gmt":"2019-02-18T18:41:34","slug":"young-rapper-takes-politicians-police-slay-queens-freestyle-rap-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/young-rapper-takes-politicians-police-slay-queens-freestyle-rap-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Young Rapper Takes On Politicians, Police, Slay Queens In Freestyle Rap(VIDEO)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A video of a young school boy has surfaced online in which he was seen taking on issues about the country in a well articulated free style rap.<\/p>\n<p>The young boy, identified as Kojo Gilchris, has since been tageed as &#8216;young Sarkodie&#8217; considering his free flow of rap.<\/p>\n<p>He touched on very vital issues concerning the country including corrupt politicians, slay queens, the police, among others.<\/p>\n<p>As much as his rapping skills in the freestyle video got him to trend, the message he sent was quite powerful.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWhat is wrong with this our country?\u201d he questioned.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are many things going on but \u201cit started from the 90s,\u201d he says.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kojo talks about police brutality in the country, saying the people who are meant to protect us<\/p>\n<p>turn against us. Such powerful words coming from a young boy.<\/p>\n<p>One might ask how he noticed, but it is hard not to when six men from Zango were killed but<\/p>\n<p>later found innocent or when two soldiers burnt rubber on the penis of a young boy for a crime, he swears he did not commit.<\/p>\n<p>Is Kojo\u2019s argument far-fetched? Check out Joojo Kobbinah of Joy News\u2019 documentary \u2018As if we<\/p>\n<p>weren\u2019t human,\u201d and give a verdict.<\/p>\n<p>When some of the brutalities captured in the documentary make headlines, it is hard for even<\/p>\n<p>the younger generation not to notice.<\/p>\n<p>The young rapper talks about corruption and the justice system. Strange huh? Apparently, not all young ones care only about food, friends and games.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3><em>\u201cWhat is wrong with our country the lawmakers turn to lawbreakers,\u201d he says, it seems he had a lot bottled up in his young heart.<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><em>\u201cThem the jail the poor for shege reasons sake of they no get money to pay lawyers bribery,\u201d so sad right?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>He talks about the corruption in our political system saying all the focus is on other crimes, \u201cforgetting about the men in suit, the MPs.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kojo was certainly not going to end his rap without touching on our problems with social media.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSocial media dey make the people dey live fake life slay queen dey slay hard for fake hype,\u201d<\/em> he says and touched on fake prophets and prophesies too. When Joselyn Dumas posted the video on her Twitter page, people fell in love with the boy.<\/p>\n<p>@Vladimir Mozu? twitted, \u201cwow, these children are following what is going on in Ghana very well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWow, I\u2019m in love with this boy, saying the hard truth too, he will definitely go places,\u201d @HinsonSidneyPe1 wrote.<\/p>\n<p>@NayaGenius wondered if the thoughts of little Kojo will be accepted easily because he\u2019s young. \u201cI won&#8217;t be surprised some hypocrites will come on this app to tell this little boy he is too young for these words. I won&#8217;t be surprised because I&#8217;ve seen it before,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c@sarkodie watch out this kid they come for your throne!\u201d @Solojaba decided to warn Sarkodie.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, @PiousKafui just had to call out Medikal \u201c@AmgMedikal bossman check this kid out&#8230;ana wada??\u201d<\/p>\n<p>@emperor_souljah tweeted, \u201cIndeed, what is wrong with this our country and thinking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>@addomikes1 just fell in love with the talk of politicians, \u201cGod bless this boy.
