Hiplife artiste, Nana Kwaku-Duah, known in showbiz as Tic has bemoaned what he describes as selfishness among people in the Ghanaian music industry.<\/p>\n
According to him, the \u201cone man chop\u201d attitude is the reason very few artiste rule the music space within a period of time.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Citi TV\u2018s AJ Sarpong on Hall of Fame, the \u2018Kwani Kwani\u2019 singer intimated: \u201cIn Ghana when you do something and someone wants to promote it, hates sets it.<\/em> Why? Even if the person will come spice the show-up, they won\u2019t bring them because everybody wants to chop alone. That is the problem in our music industry. One man chop. Simple.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He also expressed his displeasure about the fact that a few musicians are made to hijack the music scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow can we have in a whole year, only three artistes doing shows when the whole nation has 100 artistes?\u201d<\/em> he asked.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
When asked if the few artistes being booked for shows are not just satisfying the demand and<\/p>\n
supply theory, he answered that \u201cwe create demand.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tic (formerly Tic Tac) is one of few rappers who projected the hiplife genre during its incipient stage.<\/p>\n
