The 2016 presidential candidate of the All People\u2019s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga says Shatta Wale is a star, not a gangster.<\/p>\n
This notwithstanding, the politician and business tycoon further expressed his disappointment with the dancehall artiste over his behavior in recent times.<\/p>\n
Mr. Ayariga made a reference to a video that recently went viral on social media in which the ‘Taking Over’ crooner was seen holding a gun and firing into the air.<\/p>\n
According to him, Shatta Wale ought to know that he is an artiste and not a gangster.<\/p>\n
Speaking as a co-host on Drive Time on Joy FM on Boxing Day, the APC founder said \u201c\u2026my movement, Shatta Movement is doing well. The sad thing, recently he started [doing] something I don\u2019t like but then, he is very good.\u201d<\/p>\n
Condemning Shatta’s behavior, he said, \u201cStars are supposed to brag\u2026but not to the extent of using weapons\u2026you are not a gangster, you are a pop star so don\u2019t put yourself into that category.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt [affects] the respect and the fame you have\u2026 people love you so continue that way and then you will go far beyond your imagination\u2026my advice to him,\u201d Mr Ayariga added.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Hassan Ayariga said, \u201cI love him. He is a young boy and I love his music.\u201d<\/p>\n
When asked by Baaba Tandoh, who was the sit-in host of the show if he will invite him to the Flagstaff House should he become president, the APC leader said there won\u2019t be any need for that.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was invited already so there is no need,\u201d he said and added that, \u201cI think that we need to promote them rather than inviting them. When you promote them, they excel.
