Rapper, songwriter M.anifest is ending the year 2017 on a good and high note.<\/p>\n
His song \u2018B.E.A.R\u2019 off his 2016 album No Where Cool is the soundtrack for HOOPS Africa\u2018s new Basketball documentary titled- HOOPS AFRICA: UBUNTU MATTERS.<\/p>\n
The rapper took to his official twitter account to share the good news with his fans and followers.<\/p>\n
The documentary is a collection of stories that celebrates the past, present, and future of basketball in Africa, spotlighting the sport\u2019s impact on society and its development on the continent.<\/p>\n
From the dreams of a young Zimbabwean player to honoring the NBA legends who paved the way before him, this film journeys through the growth of the game in Africa.<\/p>\n
By centering on basketball nonprofit Hoops 4 Hope in South Africa and Zimbabwe, this documentary uncovers the role the African philosophy of Ubuntu played in the Boston Celtics\u2019 2008 NBA Championship season.Further documents the historic 2015 NBA Africa Game.<\/p>\n
Featuring Hakeem Olajuwon, Dikembe Mutombo, Adam Silver, Luol Deng, Luc Mbah a Moute, Chris Paul, Doc Rivers, Paul Pierce, and many more NBA greats, this documentary shows us all why #UbuntuMatters.<\/p>\n

M.anifest is an internationally acclaimed award-winning musician from Accra, Ghana. He won the \u201cBest Rapper of the Year\u201d award at the 2013 Ghana Music Awards. This was only a year after being tipped by BBC’s \u201cThe Strand\u201d as one of four artists to watch in the World. Described as \u201cGhana\u2019s rapper supreme\u201d by Rita Ray of the BBC.<\/p>\n
2014 saw a blossoming of M.anifest\u2019s artistry, continental presence, and international credentials. He is moreover the first artist to feature on the BBC World Service Africa Beats program.<\/p>\n
Born Kwame Amet Tsikata, M.anifest recalls being privy to a breadth of African music. Having been influenced by his grandfather Prof. J.H. Nketia, one of Africa\u2019s foremost ethnomusicologists.\u00a0 Further described in 2015 by the Guardian (UK) as \u201cthe foremost rapper on the continent.\u201d<\/p>\n
He has earned collaborations with musical giants such as Tony Allen, Damon Albarn, Flea (Red hot Chili Peppers), Erykah Badu, Femi Kuti, A.B Crentsil and more.<\/p>\n
