This year’s CAF Awards ceremony has generated lots of controversies especially on the part of Ghanaian entertainers and artistes.<\/p>\n
According to reports, Nigerians hijacked the whole event. Again, Ghanaian artistes were not given the chance to perform even though they were billed to do so.<\/p>\n
As such, many of these entertainers and pundits have called on parliament to promulgate a law to ensure events held in Ghana have Ghanaian artistes dominate during prime time performances.<\/p>\n
Actress Juliet Ibrahim too has in a thread of tweets added her thoughts and shared some personal issues concerning the event.<\/p>\n
The actress highlighted on how some Ghanaians sabotaged her.<\/p>\n
According to her, the organizers wanted her to co-host the event. But she bitterly narrated they were denied access to her by some Ghanaians they had contacted for her contacts.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll speak from a personal experience; apparently, the organisers came down to Accra and asked a few of the Ghanaians they know for my contact because they wanted me to host alongside Didier Drogba. But, when they were asked, they replied with \u201coh we don\u2019t know her number\u201d.<\/p>\n
She indicated that the organizers after fruitless efforts in reaching her they had to choose another person to host the show although they wanted her to do so because of her past glories with CAF events.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis response allowed the organisers to fly in a South African host to co-host with Didier. Only for me to bump into one of the organisers on 3rd January and he narrated all that went down to me. It was now too late to put me on the bill to co-host. Life goes on\u2026\u201d, Juliet Ibrahim added.<\/p>\n
