{"id":8924,"date":"2018-01-08T09:12:17","date_gmt":"2018-01-08T09:12:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/gh\/?p=8924"},"modified":"2018-01-08T09:12:17","modified_gmt":"2018-01-08T09:12:17","slug":"7924-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/gh\/7924-2\/","title":{"rendered":"We Can&#8217;t Brand Ourselves Local Artistes And Expect International Recognition -Juliet Ibrahim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Awards-wining actress and producer, Juliet Ibrahim has called on Ghanaian entertainers to step out of their comfort zones and re-brand themselves and look beyond Ghana if they want more international recognition.<\/p>\n<p>According to her,until this happens, Ghanaian entertainers\/artistes will continue to go unnoticed when it comes to International events.<\/p>\n<p>Juliet&#8217;s wake up call comes on the back of calls by some artistes and entertainment pundits on Parliament to promulgate a law that will ensure that events held in Ghana will have Ghanaian artistes dominating during Prime-time performances.<\/p>\n<p>Juliet Ibrahim is of the believe that most artistes\/entertainers in Ghana do not look beyond Ghana. This she noted has been their bane.<\/p>\n<h3>Juliet Ibrahim&#8217;s tweets<\/h3>\n<p>The actress in a series of tweets drumming home the need for rebranding by artistes said; \u201cWhen we brand ourselves locally,we will continue to stay recognised locally. Ghanaian artistes shld step out of their comfort zones &amp; expand their horizons.Only a few has been able to do this &amp; those few are d ones who\u2019ll keep taking our country\u2019s flag higher\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She further called on Ghanaians to appreciate their own.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, bottom line, there\u2019s a time for everything. Maybe this is a wake up call for Ghanaian artistes\/Entertainers and Ghana as a whole to wake up and start rebranding and appreciating their own.
