Ghafla Exclusive: Kajairo And Teacher Wanjiku Land A New Show
One of Kenya’s oldest comedians and the freshest act of 2013 are gearing up for what is slated to be the next big show.
No it’s not a show about ‘How to tame the mane’. And no it’s not a TV show. But a radio show on one of Kenya’s biggest radio stations Q FM. Just like its sister station Nation FM will be re-launching on the 12th of December and the expected new acts are Kajairo and Teacher Wanjiku. Talks are in the works to get the dynamic duo in as breakfast show hosts.
The show could be a hit, since the two have so many things in common apart from the incredible Afro that they both enjoy sporting.
They both have enjoyed a prolific career in comedy before it got ruined by their own show. For Kajairo, his fate was unceremoniously sealed when he was given the daunting task of filling in the time slot formerly owned by Churchill show, but Churchill’s shoes proved too big to fill and his show took a kick in the teeth. It was a wrap for the Kajairo Show.

Teacher Wanjiku this year tried flying out of Churchill’s nest by launching her own show on Citizen TV, but she proved that the baby bird had flown out of the nest too soon and too far. Her show made a bad first impression and Twitter wasn’t impressed, they clawed at her so hard that her show was promptly canned.

Hopefully their survival instincts will kick in and the two will have better luck on radio. This is a second chance at being great again,I hope they will not take this chance for granted and will revive their careers as comedians.
