Ghafla Investigates What Happened Between Ghetto Radio and Bonoko That Led To Bonoko’s Alleged Firing
Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. These are words from Siddhārtha Gautama a.k.a Buddha the sage on whose wisdom Buddhism was founded.
And when it comes to this story these sagely words ring a 100% true. The truth behind Bonoko claiming that earlier this year DJ Bling had fired him has been revealed. After all the unproductive calls to Ghetto Radio. After climbing what felt like a zillion stairs to ghetto radio. After some bad-mannered chic talked to us like she was scolding annoying toddlers when we went to find out what led to Bonoko’s alleged firing.
Yesterday I talked to a source from ghetto radio who informed us contrary to popular belief Bonoko was not actually fired. And his sensational post on Facebook was a knee-jerk reaction to a confrontation he had with his Co-Host DJ Bling.
Before Bonoko shared the post above on Facebook, he had, had a war of words with DJ Bling because Dj Bling kept cutting him off during their show. This was done by DJ Bling scornfully switching off his microphone. After this happened lots of times, Bonoko got so annoyed that he stormed out of the studio, banging the door after him and saying that he is out of Ghetto Radio.
Bonoko then took to Facebook and vented out his frustration and this caused a commotion on his timeline with people throwing a pity party for Bonoko and calling DJ Bling up to insult him for firing Bonoko.
Yes Bonoko has loyal fans, usimuone hivo ukamdahrau. In fact Bonoko is the highest paid presenter in Ghetto Radio; his lackluster rumblings have an audience, and not just an audience but a massive and fiercely loyal one. Not the kind of audience that says ‘ciao’ as soon as you leave a station.
DJ Bling knew that if his show was ever to go on, Bonoko had to be part of his team and that is when the task of Bringing Bonoko back began. He spoke to Maji Maji and Bonoko managed to convince Bonoko to go back to Ghetto Radio and that is when the picture below was taken.
