Heavily Built American Rapper/Actor Gives East African Fans Massive Shout-out In Fluent Swahili
Kenyan influence in America is now spilling over from White House into US music industry and popular hip hop rapper is the first victim of the 254 effect.
The last time Obama paid the country a visit, he sent the crowd into uncontrolled laughter at UN complex in Gigiri when he fumbled with Swahili words.
“Niaje wasee” Was the two words the US President pronounced with an accent that is best preserved for Capital FM’s presenters.
Well, American rapper-cum-actor, James Todd Smith, popularly known as LL Cool J, did way better than his President when he decided to send his East African fans shout-out in Swahili.
By the way Swahili is the most widely spoken language in the continent after Arabic, just in case you didn’t know!
So LL Cool J perfectly pronounced eight Swahili words without sounding like a baby with hot potatoes clogged in the mouth.
“Kwa fans wangu wa Africa Mashariki asante sana.”
