Murfy’s Flaw, whose members are Reema (Vocals), No 9 (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Punky Monkey (Rhythm Guitar), Jojo (Keyboards/B.Vocals), Jozie (Bass), Vicky (Drums/B.Vocals) and Kanvar (Drums/Venue) released their debut album ‘Makosa’ in November 2008 and their sophmore album ‘Hello light’ in the same month of last year.
The band has been doing a series of concerts lately, including being featured alongside other Kenyan artists Sara Mitaru, Ngwalito and Christine Kamau at the ‘Woman’ concert which was held on the 7th of March 2012 in celebration of the International Womens’ Day at the Michael Joseph Centre.
Their more recent performances have been at the St. Patricks’ Day estival that took place at the Carnivore, as well as a special appearance at Alliance Girls’ High School.
‘Hello Light’ was directed by Lucidoll and is off the ‘Hello Light’ album, featuring sounds and rythmns characteristic of the group and pioneering in Kenya. Have a look at (and listen to) the beautiful video below…
