Here Are The Winners Of The 2012 CHAT Awards (According to Ghafla)
Here are some of our writers’ predictions for this years CHAT Awards. Check them out and drop your own in the comments:
TEENIEZ BEST SONG
Jeff’s Choice: This definitely a Camp Mulla thing, so ‘party don’t stop’ will carry the day.
Chimwani’s Choice: And drum role please for the best song -as per teeniez choice- would be… Party Don’t Stop. Gentleman comes a close second.
Mr. Majani’s Choice: Kigeugeu – Out of the songs nominated, this is the one that touched me the most. When the song came out, I had faced many “Kigeugeus” just around that time, so it was a fantastic release mechanism.
TEENIEZ BEST MUSIC VIDEO
Jeff’s Choice: This is tricky, but ‘Gentleman’ video will carry the day.
Chimwani’s Choice: Teeniez music video should go to the gentlemen. P-unit& Sauti
Mr. Majani’s Choice: Addicted – I got only six words for you: Miss Karun, Miss Karun, Miss Karun. What can I say? I have a crush. Kumbe ni under 18! Oh well…
K-Cous also killed the beat on this one, credit to him.
TEENIEZ BEST GROUP
Jeff’s Choice: Camp Mulla. They should be ready to pop the champagne.
Chimwani’s Choice: Teeniez hottest group or collabo should go to Camp mulla but that’s my sentiment. I see it getting bagged by the “Gentlemen”.
Mr. Majani’s Choice: P-Unit – I think P-Unit actually have a 100% record of hits. I can’t recall a song they ever released on the radio which flopped.
TEENIEZ BEST FEMALE ARTIST
Jeff’s Choice: Best female artist: Avril and STL have already won this award in previous years, but I expect Avril to bag the same award this year because she has been the most active amongst the nominees.
Chimwani’s Choice: Teeniez female artist? STL. Period. No questions asked.
Mr. Majani’s Choice: Size 8 – I think she is the hottest amongst the contenders. I personally prefer slimmer ‘size 8’ girls.
TEENIEZ BEST MALE ARTIST
Jeff’s Choice: The race is tight between Jaguar and Juliani, but I expect Jaguar to carry the award home.
Chimwani’s Choice: I expect the Teeniez male artist of the year award to go to Juliani. Maybe it’s because of the hardwork lad has put into his lyrics or it could be the videos he put out (Exponential Potential) or just his work ethic. He should expect stiff compe from Jaguar though!
Mr. Majani’s Choice: Juliani – He should win basically because he came utilises a release strategy which I support. He comes out with a couple of songs for the radio, then comes out with an entire album to ride on the hype of those songs. He then goes on a major tour after all is said and done. This is the way for artists to make money if you ask me.
