Homosexuality In Kenya? This Is The Response DP Ruto Gave After The Controversial Court Ruling

It was early last week when the Kenyan judicial system courted controversy once again when it directed the Attorney General to register a gay and lesbian organization because it considered them a minority and less advantaged group in the country.

This ruling was met with mixed reactions, with a majority of Kenyans expressing their displeasure at this turn of events.

Kenya is a conservative and reserved society. So, obviously, there is no way a majority would accept homosexuality in the country.

Among those who have greatly opposed the ruling is Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking in a church in Kasarani over the weekend, DP Ruto assured the congregants that the Jubilee government will not allow homosexuality in Kenya.

The DP said that homosexuality is against the religious and cultural values in Kenya and therefore they will fight it to their last strength.

Ruto was assuring Kenyans after religious groups greatly condemned the ruling by the High Court.
