Is This Redsan On The Lost Angel Riddim?

Listen to the track above. Doesn’t it sound like Redsan? Unfortunately it’s not. It’s Redsan’s sound-alike, a Jamaican artist called Blak Diamon.

But it must be said, he does sound really good on the Lost Angel Riddim (produced by Sonique Records). This leads me to ask, should the Kenyan artists who sing with Jamaican accents try and get on riddims produced by top Jamaican producers like Seanizzle and Don Corleone?

Wyre tried to pull this off, where he recorded his song ‘Uprising’ on the Relationship Riddim, produced by Arif Cooper of Fresh Ear Productions. This put him on the same platform as big time Jamaican artists such as Alaine, Sean Paul and Christopher Martin. It really boosted his profile internationally and won him a sizeable fanbase in Jamaica. Maybe the other patois Kenyan artists should follow suit?
