Jimmy Kimmel fires back at Donald Trump for his ratings tweet

Naturally, we all expected President Donald Trump to make a tweet about the Oscars. Jimmy Kimmel was however prepared with a comeback for his tweet.

Donald Trump tweeted that the problem with the Oscars is we don’t have stars anymore, except for him. He added that he was just kidding.

“Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore – except your President (just kidding, of course)!”

The Oscar Academy Awards viewership plunged to a record low of 26.5 million people. This is a 20% drop from the 33 million who watched in 2017.

According to FiveThirthyEight, Trump’s current approval rating sits at 40.4%. Interestingly, 54.3% of Americans polled disapproving of the job he is doing.
