“Backbencher” Hitmaker Toxic Lyrikali Explains Himself Over Two Term slogan Amidst Public Uproar
Toxic Lyrikali is not only known for his good Music but for his ego kiburi which he wears on his head proudly.
Unlike the genge and urban tone artists you used used to, this guy Toxic Lyrikali started from the bottom building up his career as underground to the person he has since become.
His music focuses on real life issues, self improvement and having been brought up in the ghetto – the young man understands the importance of building himself through his craft and not crime.
With that said, Toxic Lyrikali of-course has a huge loyal following hence his line on hit song Sick where he raps saying me najeshi me nawaumini (I have an army, I have my believers.)
As expected, his following is that of Gen Z and being one of them, many on social media are currently calling the rapper out for his appearance at State House during a recent performance at a presidential empowerment event.
This is after Toxic Lyrikali chanted “tutam” a slang term for “two term” in reference to President William Ruto’s tenure. Having been caught on camera doing this, many fans now accuse him of aligning himself with politics and from what many claim is that he betrayed his own following and youths.
However according to Toxic Lyrikali, there was no way out but chant judging from the environment he was in. The rapper made this known thrown a few posts on his social media pages where he distanced himself from “Tutam” to “wantam” aligns to his followers interests.
Well, judging from the comments left by netizens online – it appears most continue to support Toxic Lyrikali’s hustle and understand that just like the other youths trying to get off the block – ‘mboka ni mboka.’
Toxic Lyrikali is expected to headline Mombasa’s color Fest set to happen on 16th August 2025. This will be the first event he is headlining since his fame and hopefully fans will also turn out in his support.
