Zari The Boss Lady Reveals Why Husband Shakib Cham Lutaaya Attracts Women

Ugandan socialite, entrepreneur, and reality TV star Zarinah Hassan, widely known as Zari the Boss Lady, has offered a candid explanation for the widespread attention her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya, receives from other women.

In an undated viral interview clip circulating online, Zari showered Shakib with compliments, affectionately calling him handsome and declaring him her “last husband.”

The discussion quickly moved to his popularity, with Zari asking if he was aware of women’s attraction to him.

“Do women vibe you?” she asked. “I know,” Shakib responded.

Zari then gave her playful assessment of why he is so sought after:

“Yeah, women love you because of me… they are always wondering what I saw in you,” she claimed, prompting a swift denial from Shakib: “Not all of them.” Zari shot back, “Nah, stop lying, and you are lying on camera.”

Zari went on to reveal that women even attempt to get Shakib’s attention in public spaces: “Women even try to get your attention in clubs in my presence. And I’m like, if they are doing this in my presence, how about when I’m not around!”

She contrasted this with her own experience, stating that men are attracted to her for qualities like beauty, intelligence, hard work, and motherhood, concluding that women primarily covet Shakib because of his association with her.

Facing Criticism Over Age Gap

The couple has faced public scrutiny, particularly regarding their age difference. Shakib, a professional boxer, previously addressed the challenges following their official marriage.

In a statement posted on Instagram in January 2025, he admitted to enduring significant public criticism, noting:

“Personally, I’ve faced a lot of criticism before the show, especially after becoming Zari’s husband.”

The Diamond Platnumz Outburst

The relationship has not been without public drama. In August 2024, the couple had a highly publicized online spat after Zari’s ex-husband, Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz, made a surprise visit to her South African residence.

Shakib publicly lamented feeling disrespected and left out of the loop concerning the visit. Zari swiftly responded on social media, dismissing his reaction as unwarranted insecurity and clarifying that Diamond’s visit was purely for their daughter, who was celebrating her birthday.

She addressed her husband directly during the outburst, defending her relationship with her ex while firmly choosing her current spouse.

“If I want to get back to Diamond, I can be back… But we are so over each other. I don’t want him, he doesn’t want me; I have a husband, he has a girlfriend.”

She added:

“I chose to be with him, but he has to put me through this. Ai, my guy, you better change, my guy, you better recognise…” Zari later apologized to Shakib following the intense social media exchange.
