Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Interruptions in Several Regions on June 4

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity maintenance works that will affect customers in parts of Nairobi, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Kisii, Kiambu, Kilifi, and Kwale counties on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

The planned outages are expected to facilitate network maintenance and upgrades, with power supply being interrupted between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the affected areas.

Nairobi County

Donholm, Jacaranda and Soweto (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

Areas affected include Salute Apartment, Umoja 2 SDA Church, Davana Hotel, Jacaranda Estate, Carmel Vale and Edenvale Schools, Donholm Phase 8, Greenspan Mall and Estate, parts of Nasra Estate, Sosion, Shujaa Mall, Patanisho Hospital, Soweto, and neighbouring customers.

Part of Karen (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

The outage will affect areas around Lang’ata South Road, Kenya School of Law, Ndalati Road, Bogaani Road, parts of Ndege Road, Siranga Road, Nzohe Road, Kumbe Road, Baobab Estate, JKUAT Karen Campus, Ndovu Road, parts of Kipevu Road, Fahari Close, Kasuku Close, Kwarara Road and surrounding areas.

Nakuru County

Naivasha DCK Area (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Customers in Gorge Farm, Flamingo, parts of KenGen Housing, Kongoni, Oloiden, Kinja Nurseries, Mundui, Hippo Point, Wileli, Rain Forest, Duro, Aquila, Ndabibi, Eburru Hills Farm, Evergreen Herbs, Evergreen Avocados, Gathondia, Moi Ndabi, Sero, Tangi Tatu, Ng’ondi, Sagutiek, Maiella, Enasambulai and nearby areas will experience power interruptions.

Uasin Gishu County

Oasis, Neema, Kimuri and Royalton (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Affected locations include Neema School, Blossom, Oasis Bible College, Royalton, Nandi Gaa, Kimuri and adjacent customers.

Kakamega County

Malava Area (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

The maintenance exercise will affect Samitsi, Malanga, Malava Market, Kampi Kwanza Market, Shamberere, West Kenya Sugar, KWS, Kambiri Market, Shanderema, Ileho, Inguvuli and neighbouring areas.

Kisii County

Etago, Nyamaiya and Surrounding Areas (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

Areas affected include Kenyenya Primary School, Nyangweta SDA Secondary School, Etago Market, Nyansembe, Nyakeyo, Suguta, Moticho, Engou, Nyabera, Nyamaiya, Ekona, Mogenda, Ochodororo, Maroon and nearby customers.

Kegati, Kiogoro and Itumbe (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

The outage will affect Kegati Market, Rianyamwamu Tea, Riabamanyi, Matibo, Nyanguru, Nyaguta, Riang’ombe Nene, Itumbe Tea, Matunwa, Itumbe Market, Kamel Park, Kiogoro Market and surrounding areas.

Kiambu County

Part of Limuru Town, Auto Springs and Gitutha (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

Customers in parts of Limuru Town Centre, Karanjee, Kwambira, Kamirithu, Tharuini, Steph-Joy Boys, Rwacumaria, Kamonoru, Ndiuni, Nyataragi, Thigio, Thigio Boroti, Gichungo, Kiriri and neighbouring areas will be affected.

Kilifi County

Mtangani and Mijikenda Residence (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

Power will be interrupted in parts of Malindi, Alaskan, Mtangani, Sunpark, Savannah, Raia, Majivuni, Kiddie Star, Mgurureni, Mijikenda Residence, Marafa, Wakala, Mambrui, Karibuni Villas, Last Beach, Angels Bay, Garashi and adjacent areas.

Kwale County

Kinagoni and Vigurungani (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

Affected areas include Kinagoni, Chigutu, Mdomo, Vigurungani, Bang’a TTC and nearby customers.

Kwale Town, Kinango and Tiribe (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

The outage will affect Kwale Town, Ziwani, Golini, Madabara 1 and 2, Kinango, Tiribe, Ndavaya and surrounding areas.

Kenya Power has advised customers in the listed locations to plan accordingly and treat all electrical installations as live throughout the maintenance period.
