Kanyari reveals he loves when Kenyans praise him

Pastor Victor Kanyari has opened up about why he enjoys receiving admiration from ordinary Kenyans, saying people with modest means are often more expressive and appreciative than the wealthy.

Speaking in a TikTok video on Thursday, June 4, 2026, the televangelist reflected on his interactions with people from different social and economic backgrounds, noting that those who have less financially tend to show gratitude more openly.

According to Kanyari, he frequently meets supporters who may not be financially well-off but still take time to compliment and celebrate his success.

“And the people who are not well off often keep praising a person like me. And they say, ‘Oh wow, you are so rich and you have a lot of money.’ And I say yes, feeling so happy,” he said.

The preacher explained that he appreciates such encounters because the admiration often comes across as sincere and heartfelt.

Kanyari further argued that people with fewer resources are generally more appreciative when they receive help or support compared to those who are already wealthy.

“And you know another good thing with people who do not have money, they will also make you happy. The rich will never heap praises on you, but the low-class people, just give them a little and they will keep singing your name,” he added.

According to the pastor, acts of generosity often leave a lasting impression on struggling individuals, making them more likely to publicly express their gratitude.

To support his point, Kanyari noted that some of his followers frequently praise him and even come up with additional nicknames whenever they mention him.

“Like now they keep calling me Kanyari and accompanying it with other names,” he said.

Kanyari Speaks on Daughter’s Earnings

In a separate revelation, the controversial preacher recently disclosed that his daughter, Sky Victor, earns as much as KSh500,000 per month through content creation.

Speaking during a midweek church service on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Kanyari commended his daughter’s entrepreneurial spirit and creativity, describing her as a savvy young woman who understands how to build an audience online.

According to him, Sky has successfully turned content creation into a lucrative venture and prefers to manage her earnings independently.

“She earns that per month. Imagine if it were you earning KSh500,000 every month as she does. She always insists that the money has to go to her account. I often try to convince her to deposit some of the money into my account, but she says no, that it is her money,” Kanyari said.

The preacher’s remarks sparked discussion online, with many social media users expressing admiration for his daughter’s success in the digital space.
