Ace Hood cancels on Kenyan event organisers

American rapper Ace Hood has announced that he will no longer be performing at the upcoming Furaha Festival in Nairobi, citing an alleged breach of contract by the event organisers.

The rapper shared the news through his Instagram page, disappointing fans who had been eagerly anticipating his appearance at the festival, which is scheduled for June 5, 2026.

“I regret to inform you that due to the promoter’s breach of contract, I will not be performing at this year’s Furaha Festival in Nairobi, Kenya, scheduled for June 5, 2026,” Ace Hood wrote.

Despite pulling out of the event, the rapper expressed optimism about visiting the country in the future and reassured Kenyan fans that he still hopes to make the trip.

“I hope to have the opportunity to visit Kenya in 2027,” he added.

Headliner Withdraws from Festival Line-Up

Ace Hood, widely known for hit songs including Bugatti, Hustle Hard, and Body 2 Body, had been announced as one of the biggest international acts set to perform at the three-day Furaha Festival.

Organisers had heavily promoted the American rapper as the headline performer for the opening day of the event, which is expected to take place at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi.

His withdrawal comes just days before the festival, creating uncertainty for fans who had looked forward to seeing him perform live.

While Ace Hood did not provide further details about the alleged contractual issues, his statement indicates that the decision was linked to concerns regarding the organisers’ fulfilment of agreed obligations.

For now, fans will have to wait longer for a possible Kenyan performance, with the rapper expressing hope that he will be able to visit the country in 2027.
