Mulamwah celebrates being given mantle to represent youth at UN HQ

Kenyan comedian and digital content creator David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, has shared his excitement after representing young people at a forum held at the United Nations headquarters.

Taking to social media on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Mulamwah described the experience as a significant milestone in his journey, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to participate in discussions shaping the future.

“Mambo ya God. Proud to be in rooms where the world’s future is designed,” he wrote.

The entertainer revealed that he represented youth voices at the China in Action Forum, a high-level event focused on advancing the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

According to Mulamwah, being part of the forum was both an honour and a reminder of the crucial role young people play in driving global change and sustainable development.

“Had the privilege to represent the youth at the UN headquarters ‘China in Action’ forum for the 2030 UN Agenda – Sustainable Development,” he added.

Photos shared from the event showed Mulamwah interacting with delegates and participants engaged in discussions around development, innovation, and youth involvement in achieving global goals.

Focus on Sustainable Development

The China in Action Forum brought together policymakers, development partners, and stakeholders to explore strategies for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

The SDGs serve as a global framework aimed at tackling poverty, protecting the environment, promoting economic growth, and improving quality of life worldwide.

Another Major Achievement

Mulamwah’s appearance at the UN forum comes shortly after another personal milestone.

On June 4, 2026, the content creator announced that he had graduated from Shenyang Normal University in China, where he emerged as the top student in International Understanding and Communication.

The achievement earned widespread praise from fans and fellow creators across East Africa.

Celebrating the accomplishment on social media, Mulamwah credited his dedication and hard work for the success.

“Did it. I wanna thank me – I just graduated today as the top student in International Understanding and Communication from Shenyang Normal University in China,” he wrote.

He also acknowledged the support he received throughout the programme.

“Big thanks to the Chinese Embassy in Kenya and the People’s Republic of China for the opportunity to represent Kenya on this international forum,” he added.

The latest recognition further highlights Mulamwah’s growing influence beyond entertainment, as he continues to participate in international forums while building his career as one of Kenya’s most prominent digital creators.
