Mulamwah gushes after Ida Odinga rates his dapper suit
Kenyan comedian and digital content creator David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, has shared his excitement after meeting Dr. Ida Odinga during a United Nations-related event in Nairobi, describing the encounter as both memorable and inspiring.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Mulamwah revealed that the wife of veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga warmly interacted with him and even complimented his fashion sense.
According to the comedian, Dr. Ida Odinga told him, “luku ni kali,” a popular Sheng expression used to praise someone’s outfit or style. Mulamwah said the light-hearted remark left him both excited and humbled.
He noted that meeting Dr. Ida Odinga was a special moment, given her role as Kenya’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).
“Aliniambia luku ni kali 😂👌💪. Today I had the privilege of meeting our MUM, Dr. Ida Odinga, who serves as Kenya’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON),” he wrote.
Mulamwah also expressed appreciation for the advice he received during their interaction, saying the conversation left a lasting impression on him.

Representing Youth at a Global Forum
The meeting came as Mulamwah participated in a high-level forum linked to the United Nations, where he represented young people in discussions focused on sustainable development.
The content creator described the opportunity as a major milestone in his journey, saying it reflected how far he has come both personally and professionally.
“Mambo ya God. Proud to be in rooms where the world’s future is designed,” Mulamwah shared.
He revealed that he represented youth voices at the China in Action Forum, an event aligned with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
According to Mulamwah, being part of the discussions was both an honour and a reminder of the important role young people play in shaping the future.
“Had the privilege to represent the youth at the UN headquarters ‘China in Action’ forum for the 2030 UN Agenda – Sustainable Development,” he wrote.
Photos shared from the event showed Mulamwah alongside delegates and stakeholders engaged in conversations around development, innovation, and youth participation.
The forum brought together various leaders and participants to discuss progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global framework aimed at ending poverty, protecting the environment, and promoting prosperity for all by the year 2030.
