Kenya Power Announces Planned Power Interruptions in Several Counties on Tuesday, June 23, 2026

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in various parts of the country on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, as part of planned maintenance activities.

The outages will affect customers in parts of the Mt. Kenya, Nairobi, Coast, North Rift and Western regions, with interruptions expected between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. depending on the affected area.

Mt. Kenya Region

Laikipia County

Kwahuku SDA, Toll Station Area
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Kwahuku SDA, Toll Station, Ragati, Nanyuki Boarding, Tropical Timber, Aberdare Cottages, Airstrip, Burguret, Esiankiki Resort, Kinyuki County Hotel, Tambuzi Farm, Kamangura, Gathioro and neighbouring customers.

Narumoru Girls, Dawama Area
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The interruption will affect Narumoru Girls, Rongai, Dawama, Munyu, Lusoi, Narumoru Dairies, Mere, Warazo Village, Bagdad and adjacent customers.

Miathene Market Area

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Ithamare Primary School, Kimuthi Polytechnic, Kaliati Primary School, Kwa Michubu, DO’s Office Urru, Miathene Dispensary, Miathene Boys, Nkui, Kitheo Village, Kiandui Village, ATC Kitheo, Amukui, Kitheo Secondary School, Kathiri Borehole, Karimba Primary School, Mwithu C/Factory, Kiathaita TBC and Antubeiga Primary School.

Makuri, Chogoria Area

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Customers in Makuri Girls, Makuri TBC, Kathambara C/Factory, Girira Village, Milimani, H Mantu and Karogero Village will be affected.

Embu County

Nembure, Ena, Limbua Area

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Affected areas include St. Christopher Nembure, Karue Booster, Ena Market, Limbua, Rukira Market, Ndatu Market and adjacent customers.

Nairobi Region

Nyangumi, Lenana Road Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Power interruptions will affect Lenana Road, Kasuku Road, Nyangumi Road, Yaya Centre, Timau Road, Mtito Andei Road, Mukuyu Lane, Jabavu Road, Thetha Lane and neighbouring customers.

Coast Region

Kilifi County – Ndomo, Kajivuni, Prison Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Affected areas include parts of Kwa Ndomo, Mitangani, Majivuni, Prisons, Kaoyeni Dispensary, ADC Malindi, PK Estate and adjacent customers.

Manyatta, Baobab Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The interruption will affect Manyatta, Alliance Safari, Baobab and surrounding customers.

North Rift Region

Uasin Gishu County – Langas, Yamumbi Area

Time: 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Langas Kona Mbaya, Yamumbi, Gitwe, Jijenge Quarry and adjacent customers.

Western Region

Busibwaro, Siekunyu Area

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Customers in Busibwaro, Siekunyu, Nasira, Kajoro, Nambale, Malanga and surrounding areas will experience a power interruption.

Kenya Power has advised affected customers to make the necessary arrangements and apologised for any inconvenience caused during the maintenance exercise.
