Chiki Kuruka Defends ‘Çhildless’ Women As Pressure Mounts On Husband Bien To Sire Children
Image: Bien with wifey, ChikiChiki Kuruka, talent manager and partner to Sauti Sol lead singer Bien-Aimé Baraza, has issued a powerful rebuke against the persistent public scrutiny regarding her reproductive choices. In a candid statement shared on Friday, December 19, 2025, Chiki described the societal obsession with women’s wombs as intrusive, disrespectful, and deeply rooted in sexism.
Expressing her frustration over the unsolicited opinions that often flood her social media, Chiki revealed that some commenters have gone as far as urging Bien to find another woman who will “produce” children for him. She condemned these remarks as dehumanizing, arguing that they reduce a woman’s entire existence to her reproductive capacity while ignoring her personal autonomy, ambitions, and basic humanity.
“Unless we ourselves open up the forum for conversation, our bodies and our choices should not be public property,” she stated.
Chiki drew a sharp boundary, insisting that a woman’s womb should be off-limits to public interrogation just as much as any other deeply personal aspect of life.
Chiki and Bien, who have been together for 11 years and married since March 2020, have maintained a united front on the topic of family. Her statement aligns with sentiments previously shared by Bien, who has often challenged traditional gender roles. In an interview last year, the “Lifestyle” hitmaker revealed that if the couple were blessed with a child, he would be more than willing to pause his global music career to become a stay-at-home father, allowing Chiki to pursue her professional goals.
By speaking out, Chiki Kuruka joins a growing number of high-profile women in Kenya who are demanding an end to the “entitlement” strangers feel toward women’s bodies. She reiterated that parenting is a personal choice and a full-time commitment that should never be forced by societal pressure or sexist expectations.
