Georgina Njenga Shares Journey from Depression to Healing Through Faith
Georgina Njenga has opened up about a deeply personal chapter in her life, revealing how her renewed relationship with God helped her navigate a dark period marked by depression and emotional turmoil.
In a candid and heartfelt testimony shared on her platform, Georgina reflected on the quiet battles she fought behind the scenes—battles that eventually led her to a spiritual awakening.
“Thank you, Jesus, because I believed in you at my lowest,” she wrote. “I prayed to you. I knew you’d come through—and you did. What else can I do but use my platform to glorify you?”
The mother of one shared that she had been unknowingly living in emotional darkness for a long time, but rediscovering her faith helped her find light, peace, and purpose. Since beginning her healing journey, Georgina has embraced sobriety, adopted a healthier lifestyle, and even celebrated what she calls “healthy weight gain”—a visible reflection of her renewed sense of self.
One of the most powerful realizations she shared is that she no longer seeks validation from others. “God’s love is enough for me now,” she said.
Georgina also opened up about the severity of her depression, recalling how even some of the brands she collaborated with noticed her distress and reached out in concern.
“God and Jesus have truly been the light in my life,” she said. “You don’t really understand the contrast between light and darkness until you’ve lived through both.”
She now embraces her Christian faith fully, affirming her belief in the Holy Trinity—God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit—and says she is committed to walking in spiritual light.
Georgina also revealed the story behind the semicolon tattoo on her hand, explaining that it represents her survival. “It’s a symbol of everything I’ve overcome,” she said. “When I look back at the darkness I walked through and see where I am today, I remind myself—girl, you made it.”
She spoke about the emotional isolation she experienced during her struggles, admitting that she sometimes found it easier to open up to strangers than to those close to her.
“I’ll never forget the day I cried to people I barely knew—because it felt safer,” she confessed.
Looking ahead, Georgina hopes to share more of her journey in a detailed video, saying the version of her life that fans have seen online barely scratches the surface.
She concluded her message with a powerful note of encouragement, especially for one fan who had reached out to her about battling depression.
“If I’m finally healing—after going through so much both publicly and privately—then you can too. There’s always hope,” she wrote.
