Gospel Singer Njuguna wa Kirathimo Escapes Robbery at Mwinjoyo FM

Njuguna wa Kirathimo, a Kikuyu gospel singer, had a close shave with death on the night of May 11 when four armed men stormed the Mwinjoyo FM studio in Nakuru where he was performing.

Kiarie had been invited to grace the ‘Kigooco Night’ show, which runs from 8 pm to midnight. He told the Nairobian that he had a strange feeling before he left his home in Kiamaina, but he decided to ignore it.

“The mind was weighing on me and pushing me to say goodbye to my children and wife before leaving because I felt something was off. However, I chose not to and just left,” he said.

Kiarie said that he enjoyed the show and felt at home with the presenters and listeners. He said that he began to wonder why he had been so worried earlier.

Everything seemed to be going well for Kiarie until the last 10 minutes of the show when the armed men stormed the studio.

“I was bidding my fans goodbye when I heard gunshots. I quickly hid under a table and called the police,” he said.

The police arrived at the scene and arrested the four men. No one was injured in the robbery.

Kiarie said that he is grateful to God for sparing his life. He said that he will never forget the experience and that it has taught him to always trust his instincts.

Kiarie’s experience is a reminder that crime can happen anywhere, at any time. It is important to be aware of your surroundings and to take precautions to protect yourself. If you feel like something is wrong, trust your instincts and take action.
