Harmonize has revealed that he paid his Italian ex-wife Sarah Michelotti €50,000 (about KSh 7.5 million) as part of an out-of-court divorce settlement, bringing an end to a long-running dispute between the former couple.

The singer disclosed the payment while speaking about the breakdown of their relationship and the legal battle that followed their separation. According to Harmonize, the issue had dragged on for several years after their breakup and eventually reached the courts before both families decided to resolve the matter amicably.

Ending a Long Legal Dispute

Harmonize explained that lawyers became involved after disagreements between the two sides intensified. However, a meeting between both families later led to a decision to settle the matter outside court.

During the discussions, the parties agreed that paying €50,000 would resolve the dispute and allow both sides to move forward.

The artist said the settlement helped bring closure to the conflict, emphasizing that maintaining peace was more important than prolonging legal battles.

A High-Profile Relationship

Harmonize, whose real name is Rajab Abdul Kahali, married Sarah Michelotti in 2019. Their relationship attracted significant attention across East Africa due to the cross-continental romance between the Tanzanian musician and the Italian entrepreneur.

The couple held both an Islamic wedding and a white wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family.

However, the marriage was short-lived. By 2020, the relationship had collapsed amid allegations of infidelity and growing tensions between the two. The separation quickly turned public, with disputes over finances and property reportedly contributing to the legal fight that followed.

Life After the Divorce

Since the breakup, Harmonize has continued to remain one of the most influential artists in East Africa’s music industry.

The singer, known for hit songs and collaborations across the region, has also attracted media attention for his personal life, including his on-and-off relationship with Tanzanian actress and socialite Fridah Kajala Masanja.

With the €50,000 settlement now reportedly paid, the long-standing dispute between Harmonize and his former wife appears to have finally been resolved, allowing both to move forward after years of legal and personal tensions.
