Kanyari Vows To Change His Lifestyle For The Sake Of His Children After Betty Bayo’s Death
Pastor Victor Kanyari, founder and head preacher of Salvation Healing Ministries, has publicly vowed to change his behavior and lifestyle, citing the death of his ex-wife, Betty Bayo, and the need to become a responsible father to their two young children, Sky and Dany.
Speaking during a sermon on Sunday, November 23, 2025, Kanyari emphasized that his days of living recklessly are over, as his children now require him to prioritize seriousness and responsibility.
“Lazima sasa ni behave; siwezi kuendelea kucheza vile nilikuwa na cheza lazima niwe serious sana kwa sababu sasa I have two young children, Sky and Danny, ambao sasa I have to take care of them,” Kanyari stated (I must now behave; I cannot continue playing around as I used to; I must be very serious because now I have two young children… whom I have to take care of).
Acquiring a New Home for the Family
Kanyari also revealed that his commitment to change extends to his living situation. He explained that his current home is often filled with over 200 people, which is unsuitable for raising his children.
“In my house na kaa nawatu zaidi ya 200 people wanaka kwangu, wanakunywa huko wanakula huko [I live with over 200 people who stay, drink, and eat at my place], so jana yote nimeshinda nikitafuta nyumba ya kununua [I spent all day yesterday looking for a house to buy] where my children can stay, because I don’t want to chase away those people who are currently living with me,” he added.
He confirmed that he had identified a new property in a residential area:
“Na nikapata nyumba mzuri sana iko upande wa Runda.”
The Ksh90 Million Runda Mansion
This commitment follows an earlier announcement (on November 16) where Kanyari revealed he is set to acquire a Ksh90 million mansion in Runda, Nairobi. He told his congregation that he toured the properties and fixed his mind on the most expensive option to give his children a luxurious and comfortable life.
The property features amenities like a swimming pool, which Kanyari specifically mentioned as a place where his children can enjoy themselves and have fun.
