Kenya Power Announces Planned Power Interruptions in Several Counties on Thursday, 25 June 2026

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power maintenance that will affect customers in parts of the North Rift, South Nyanza, Mt. Kenya and Coast regions on Thursday, 25 June 2026.

The planned interruptions will take place at different times depending on the affected areas, with some regions experiencing outages from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

North Rift Region

Uasin Gishu County – Oasis, Kimuri Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Neema School, Blossom, Oasis Bible College, Royalton, Nandi Gaa, Kimuri and adjacent customers.

South Nyanza Region

Kisii County – Etono, Nyakoiba Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Customers in Igorera, Etono, Omobera, Kerongorori, Randani, Nyakoiba, Ibencho, Nyansara, Openda, Eburi, Nyamasege, Kiagware, Nyaimera, Nyansakia, Kona Yonduko and neighbouring areas will be affected.

Mt. Kenya Region

Laikipia County – Matanya, Solio Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Thome, Thome Boys Secondary School, Tigithi, Matanya, Weruini, Male, Solio V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, V6, V7 and adjacent customers.

Nyeri County – Kidalive, Maragima Police Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The interruption will affect Kidalive, Maragima Police, Mathari and surrounding customers.

Meru County – Mikinduri Market, Kiguchwa Market, Ametho Area

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Antuamarita Primary School, Ngatu Primary School, Gachuuru Market, Kiarau, St. Lucy Kirigwa Church, Anjuki Factory, Mikinduri Common, Mikinduri Girls, St. Benedict Primary School, St. Stephen Primary School and Church, Uriiro Primary School, Kamarima Primary School, Amugaa, Karurune Primary School, KK Mwathe Catholic Church, Gitumbi TBC, Kwa Mukara, DCIO Mikinduri, Karurune Village, Kaliene Secondary School, Ankamia, Ametho Mikinduri, Iliene Shopping Centre, Ametho Boarding, Antuamuyaro, Antuabui TBC, Mwethe Primary School, Amuga C/Factory, Kaluli Market, Kithare Market, Maliolo and adjacent customers.

Coast Region

Kwale County – Mienzeni, Gandini, Bofu Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Mienzeni, Katundani, Gandini, Ndzovuni, Bofu, Mtaa and adjacent customers.

Mombasa County – Kilima Road, Harambee Estate, Oshwal Academy Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Customers in Kilima Road, Twiga Villas Estate, Harambee Estate, Simba Estate, Salama Estate, Nyali Plaza, Ores Estate, Oshwal Academy and surrounding areas will experience a power interruption.

Kilifi County – Marafa, Garashi, Magarini Area

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Marafa, KBC, Pumwani, Garashi, GIS, Shomela, Magarini, Wakala and adjacent customers.

Kenya Power has advised affected customers to make the necessary arrangements during the maintenance period and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
