Khalif Kairo Shares Reason For Enjoying His 2-Months Stay In Jail (Video)
Flamboyant businessman Khalif Kairo has shed light on the turn of events that took place while he was jailed over alleged fraud.
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) accused Kairo (Wambui), owner of the car dealership Kai & Karo Limited, of deliberately mis-declaring a luxury vehicle to evade customs duty.
On January 10, 2024, Wambui allegedly declared a Range Rover Vogue as a used Range Rover Sport, a move the KRA claims was intended to avoid paying Kshs.1,283,830 in customs duty.
Wambui has been charged with being knowingly involved in the fraudulent evasion of duty payment.
He was arrested then re-arrested in a span of less than 2 months.
His second arrest saw him in custody for 10 days.

Khalif Kairo has however, narrated how his stay in jail made him even a stronger lad. While sharing with Obinna on his YouTube channel, Kairo calibrated that the ‘Bible’ kept him busy.
”The first 10 days I slept. And it was the most peaceful time. In fact, I read the whole Bible, from Genesis to Acts,” Kairo started off.
Kairo continued to narrate how he expected jail to be horrible, but he was welcomed by inmates; some of whom recognized him.
‘Those people took me in like one of them. They protected me from the first day. They gave me two matresses. Mi nilikua nafkiria ntakuja uku kwanza nipigwe makofi waniulize wewe ni nani. Watu tulikua nao streets time ya Gen Z ndio napata uko.”
Kairo concluded by stating how he sympathized with some of the inmates who had mere cases which have not been heard in court for over a year.
