KRG the Don Flaunts Cash, Dismisses Rumours He’s Broke After Social Media Silence

Dancehall musician and businessman KRG the Don has vehemently dismissed online rumours suggesting he vanished from social media because he ran out of money. The singer addressed the speculation directly in a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, November 27, 2025, while showing off wads of crisp Ksh1,000 notes.

KRG attributed his recent quietness to focusing on work and personal projects, rather than financial distress.

“Young people, I see that you don’t understand that when someone is quiet, it often means they are focused on their work and their life, and they don’t want unnecessary noise,” KRG said.

He strongly criticized those who jump to conclusions about his finances simply because he steps away from the online noise.

“You start imagining things that aren’t true. I have told you, whenever you mention my name, never associate it with poverty. Let me correct your ignorance completely. I am a blessed person who cannot be written off. This money I have is real, it’s not tissue paper,” he stated, insisting his silence means concentration, not financial struggle.

The musician warned critics to focus on their own lives, reaffirming that external opinions do not define his reality.

“Just because another man is organising his life, he is doing it for his family and children. Your opinions do not reflect my reality. I am still rich. I was born rich, and I will die rich,” KRG affirmed.

Statement Follows Miracle Baby’s Shade

KRG’s firm denial of poverty rumors comes just one day after fellow musician Miracle Baby publicly accused KRG of treating him unfairly during a difficult period.

Miracle Baby, the “Wamlambez” hitmaker, lamented that while he was hospitalized and in dire need of medical care, KRG had given him “empty promises” and made “harsh words” about him.

“Btw, he nearly killed me while I was in the hospital with his empty words and harsh words. I had never seen a man put someone else down while they are at their lowest. He walked over me while I was already down, and even though I raised my hands, he kept on,” Miracle Baby recalled.

Miracle Baby noted that dealing with KRG’s perceived insensitivity while also coping with physical pain was deeply frustrating, although he later forgave him. He concluded by urging KRG to “be a real man, bro.”
