Kwambox and Kerry Martin Gracefuly Bow Out After Getting Fired From Kiss FM

Media personalities Sheila “Kwambox” Kwamboka and Kerry Martin hosted their final show on Kiss FM on April 30, 2025, marking the end of a vibrant era on Kenyan radio.

The emotional farewell, streamed across Kiss FM’s social media platforms, captured the deep bond the two hosts had formed with each other—and with their audience.

“I thought this was going to be easy, but it isn’t,” Kwambox said, her voice trembling as she fought back tears.

Kerry Martin, who joined the show in 2023, was equally moved. Though he began his radio journey in 2015, he credited his partnership with Kwambox as the defining moment of his career.

“If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be a better man or presenter,” Kerry told her live on air.

Kwambox had announced her departure just a day before their final broadcast, closing a 13-year chapter in her radio career.

“Stepping into the new me means letting go of the old me. Radio has been my identity for 13 years—tomorrow marks the end of a very significant chapter,” she wrote.

Reflecting on the journey, she added:

“Grateful. Humbled. Ready. From my first show on Homeboyz Radio in 2014 to wrapping up Kenya’s biggest breakfast show on Kiss 100, this journey has been nothing short of a blessing.”

Kerry Martin echoed the sentiment:

“As I hang up the mic tomorrow, I do it with a full heart.”

Kiss FM paid tribute to the duo in a heartfelt message:

“To @kwambox & @mrkerrymartin: Thank you for the magic, the madness, and the memories. From the early mornings to the wild laughs and heartfelt moments—you lit up the mic and gave our listeners a reason to tune in. Your chemistry, passion, and energy turned a show into a whole vibe.”

“We’ll miss the banter, the ‘KAPOWWWs,’ and the spirit that made Kiss FM feel like home. As you begin new chapters, know you’ve left behind a legacy of authenticity and good vibes. You’ll always be part of the Kiss FM family.”
