Nasra Yusuff Resigns as Vice Chairperson of Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya

Nasra Yusuff, widely known for her role on the Churchill Show, has officially stepped down from her position as Vice Chairperson of the Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya (DCCAK).

In a statement shared on June 6, 2025, Nasra described the decision as deeply personal and not made lightly. She emphasized the importance of personal alignment and authenticity over holding titles or positions.

“Earlier today, I officially stepped down from my role as Vice Chairperson of the Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya,” she announced.

“This was not an easy decision, but it was one I made after deep personal reflection. Sometimes, alignment and conviction are more important than titles or positions. I believe in serving from a place of peace, purpose, and authenticity — and right now, stepping back feels like the most honest thing to do.”

Nasra also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the creative community for the support she received during her short tenure.

“I recently shared my excitement about being named Vice Chairperson. However, after deep reflection, I’ve decided to step back from the role. Asanteni for the opportunity, and I wish the board all the best moving forward,” she said.

“I’m grateful for the support many of you showed me during my appointment. That encouragement never went unnoticed, and I carry it with me as I continue to advocate for creatives in other meaningful ways.”

Nasra’s resignation comes just weeks after the association’s leadership was unveiled. The executive team includes notable content creators such as Director Trevor (CEO), Terence Creative (Secretary General), Joan Wanjiku, Hezron Kipkemboi, Claudia Naisabwa, Joseph Kashina, and Sammy Kioko.

While Nasra steps away from the official role, she affirmed her continued commitment to supporting and uplifting Kenya’s creative industry in other capacities.
