Nigerian Senator Ned Nwoko Refutes Regina Daniels’ Age Claim, Cites ‘Verifiable’ Records

Nigerian senator and prominent businessman Ned Nwoko has publicly challenged recent assertions made by his wife, actress Regina Daniels, that he married her when she was only 17 years old.

In a statement shared on his official X account, Nwoko categorically labeled the claims as “false, misleading, and malicious,” insisting that all verifiable records prove that Regina was over the age of majority at the time of their union.

Evidence and Age Dispute

Nwoko claimed that during their first encounter, Regina Daniels stated her age as 21 years old. As definitive proof, he referenced her INEC voter’s card, which he says shows her date of birth as October 10, 1998.

“I kept the card as proof, maintaining that their marriage took place six years ago, meaning Regina is currently 27,” Nwoko stated. “Any suggestion that I married her at 17 is false and should not be accepted by the public.”

He further pointed to a BBC interview conducted with Regina’s mother shortly after their marriage, asserting that the interview also confirmed the actress’s true age. Nwoko emphasized that the facts surrounding their union are “verifiable and indisputable.”

Nwoko Questions Wife’s ‘Mental Condition’

In an alarming addendum to his denial, Nwoko urged the public to treat his wife’s claims with caution, referencing her “current mental condition” after allegedly abandoning a rehabilitation program for drug addiction.

The senator’s statement adds a volatile layer to the public controversy surrounding their marriage, shifting the focus from the age discrepancy to Regina Daniels’ personal health struggles.
