Oga Obinna Reveals Heartbreak & Depression After Forgiving Cheating Partner

Digital content creator and media personality Oga Obinna has opened up about a devastating personal experience with heartbreak, revealing that he once forgave a partner’s cheating, a situation that left him deeply affected for years.

Speaking on his YouTube show on Monday, December 1, 2025, Obinna described the ordeal as one of the most painful in his life, leading to a long period of emotional distress.

“I have forgiven cheating before. I have been there. I have spoken about it as well. It was a very serious heartbreak. I was heartbroken for like two years. I was depressed,” he confessed.

Obinna stressed that the pain of infidelity cannot be simply overcome by having alternative romantic options. He explained that true love involves a unique, deep connection with one person, making the betrayal particularly difficult to process.

“That is why I am telling you love is different. Bro, you will have a gazillion women chasing you, but you will only be focused on this one,” he emphasized. This unique bond, he noted, is what makes the destruction of trust so debilitating.

Analyzing the Emotional Nature of Cheating

Obinna also offered a nuanced reflection on why women cheat, suggesting the act is often emotionally and strategically driven rather than purely physical.

“Women cheat for different reasons. When they cheat, it is emotionally invested, so when a woman cheats on you, she sat down, looked at you, fell in love [with someone else], and started to entertain the idea. It is something planned,” he explained.

He stated that understanding the complex, emotional aspect of infidelity—recognizing it as a planned shift in affection—helped him eventually navigate his own feelings and find forgiveness.
