Pastor Kanyari Reveals 310 Scandal Left Him Isolated, Says Only His Mother Stood by Him

Controversial preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari has opened up about the personal struggles he faced following the infamous 310 scandal, revealing that the fallout affected his closest relationships and left him feeling alone.

Speaking during a Sunday sermon on June 14, 2026, Kanyari said the controversy had a devastating impact on his personal life, claiming that his marriage and family relationships suffered during the difficult period.

According to the preacher, his wife and children walked away from him at the height of the crisis, leaving him with only one person who continued to support him — his mother, Prophetess Lucy Nduta.

“I was left alone. My wife and children all left me. I remained with my mother only; that’s why I love my mother so much. She is the only one who stood with me,” Kanyari said.

A New Perspective on Family and Faith

Kanyari said the experience changed the way he views life, relationships, and the importance of having people who stand by you during difficult seasons.

He encouraged people to value their parents, especially mothers, saying their support often becomes most visible during challenging moments.

“That’s why I always tell people, instead of bringing me offerings, just take care of your mother. God has already blessed me, and I am enough,” he said.

Strong Bond With His Mother

The preacher has previously spoken about his close relationship with Prophetess Lucy Nduta, describing her as one of the most important people in his life.

Kanyari revealed that he regularly supports his mother financially and ensures she has a comfortable life.

“The house she lives in, I built for her. The car she drives, I bought for her. I love my mother. Every week, I must send my mother KSh 30,000,” he previously said.

He also shared humorous moments about their relationship, explaining that his mother sometimes reminds him when it is time for her financial support, often through subtle hints that he immediately understands.

For Kanyari, his relationship with his mother remains one of the strongest sources of support in his life, especially after the challenges that came with public controversies.
