Planned Power Outages Scheduled Across Multiple Counties on May 28, 2025

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions in various parts of the country on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, to allow for essential maintenance and network upgrades. The planned outages will affect customers across Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Kakamega, Migori, Nyeri, Kiambu, Mombasa, and Kilifi counties.

Below is a breakdown of the affected areas and outage times:

Trans Nzoia County

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Affected Areas: Lessos, Kwa Mudavadi, Namanjala, Kapsitwet, Kitale Ndogo, Ngenge, Maridadi, and adjacent areas.

Uasin Gishu County

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Affected Areas: Lengwai, Bindum, Siglai, Kapranga, Kanzena, Kameja, Tuiyobei, and nearby regions.

Nandi County

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Affected Areas: Chemasis, Kapkatembu, Soymining, and surrounding customers.

Kakamega County

Time: 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Affected Areas: Bushili Market, Ingotse Lower Market, Simuli Secondary, and neighboring areas.

Migori County

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Affected Areas:

• Entire Migori Town

• Awendo, Uriri, Ulanda, Rongo, Kanga, Oyani, Bware, Kehancha, Isebania, Sirare

• Nyaisawa, Bondo Nyironge, Osingo, Masara, Oruba, Ntimaru, Taranganya
