Scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, June 9, 2026

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in parts of Uasin Gishu County and Bungoma County on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, as the utility carries out planned maintenance works on the electricity network.

The company said the temporary outages are intended to facilitate maintenance and improve reliability of supply in the affected areas. Customers were advised to plan ahead and treat all electrical installations as live during the interruption period.

Areas affected in Uasin Gishu County

North Rift Region — 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

In the Merewet area, electricity will be unavailable from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Areas affected in Bungoma County

Western Region — Terem Power / Kapkateny (9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.)

Kenya Power said customers in the Terem Power / Kapkateny area will experience an outage between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m.

Western Region — Lugulu / Munyikana (9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.)

A separate maintenance exercise will affect the Lugulu / Munyikana area from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
