Scheduled Power Outages Announced for Multiple Regions on April 23, 2025

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity maintenance works affecting various counties on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance power reliability. Several areas across Nairobi, Kajiado, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kakamega, and Nyeri counties will experience temporary outages during the day.

Affected Areas by Region:

Nairobi Region

• Ngumba Estate
  🕘 Time: 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  📍 Ngumba Estate and adjacent customers will be without power during the maintenance period.

Kajiado County (Matasia Area)

• Saina, Bluesky, Oloosuyian, Oloyankalani, Saab Royal, Suguna Feeds

• Kajiado Referral Hospital, Masai Polytechnic, Moipei

• Kajiado County Government Offices, Sambel, Masai Mara, Tata Chemicals

• Esokota, Saina Airstrip, Kajiado Town & surrounding areas
  🕗 Time: 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

North Rift Region – Elgeyo Marakwet County

• Chepsirei, Kapkayo, Chepsirei TTI, Chepsirei NYS

• Kapkayo Market, Kocholwo Market, Teber, Setano, Enego & nearby customers
  🕙 Time: 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Western Region – Kakamega County

• Matungu Market Area including:
  Kholera Primary, Kholera Village, Harambee Market, Mayoni, Panyako, Bulimbo, Khoyonzo
  🕘 Time: 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Mt. Kenya Region – Nyeri County

• Rititi and Gatunganga Area:
  Rititi Market, Cheru, Kianjogu, Thaithi Market, Mahiga Springs, Gatiko, Kinguku, Ngaini Market, Rathithi, Kahira-Ini C/Fact, Gatunai, Mukanyaritho Village, Maganjo, Maganjo Secondary, Chieni Mikundi Market, Hiriga Secondary, Manorero, Safaricom and Airtel Boosters
