Size 8 and DJ Moh Open Up About Their 7-Month Separation and Emotional Reunion

Kenyan gospel artist Linet Munyali, popularly known as Size 8, and her husband Samuel Muraya (DJ Moh), have candidly shared the emotional highs and lows of their seven-month separation in 2024.

The couple, married since 2013, publicly announced their split last year, catching many fans by surprise. In a recent heartfelt interview with Betty Kyallo, they opened up about the pain, personal growth, and eventual reconciliation that brought them back together in 2025.

Size 8 confessed that she missed DJ Moh deeply during their time apart, though her pride kept her from admitting it. “It was tough, but I had to let go of certain things—because I’m not perfect either,” she said. “I acted like I didn’t care, but my heart still ached for him.”

Beyond missing her husband, she also longed for the father figure he was to their children. “Moh is an amazing dad. And when a marriage breaks down, it’s the kids who suffer most,” she said, emphasizing the importance of counselling for children in such situations.

Their daughter, Wambo, was hit particularly hard by the separation. Size 8 recalled a painful moment when Wambo’s class teacher called to say the young girl had cried at school because “her father lives in another house.”

That moment served as a wake-up call. “I realised I’d been a bit selfish,” Size 8 admitted. “I hadn’t fully thought about how it was affecting her.”

DJ Moh also struggled with the distance, especially from his children. He took them on a trip without Size 8 but admitted his real goal was to reconnect with her. “I’d visit the kids and tell her I missed her,” he said with a smile. “I started flirting with her all over again, like we were dating.”

Eventually, the couple sat down and confronted their issues through open, honest communication. “You’ve got to be sharp as a man,” Moh joked, reflecting on the effort it took to win her back.

Their story is one of struggle, growth, and choosing love again—even after heartbreak.
